Overview

SRSF3 pseudogene 4 (SRSF3P4) is a pseudogene of the serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 3 (SRSF3) gene. Unlike functional genes, pseudogenes such as SRSF3P4 do not encode functional proteins and generally do not have direct biological or therapeutic relevance. The functional SRSF3 gene encodes a splicing factor involved in alternative splicing, gene regulation, and is implicated as an oncogene in various cancers, but the pseudogene variant (SRSF3P4) is not known to possess these functions or to be a direct therapeutic target[1][2][3][4][5].
