STAT1 regulated ILF2 complex interacting long non-coding RNA (SLEAR) is a human gene encoding a long non-coding RNA that interacts with the ILF2 complex and is regulated by STAT1, a key transcription factor in cytokine signaling pathways[1][2][3][6][7][8]. SLEAR is also known as FLJ42969 and SLE-associated RNA; the latter reflects its association with systemic lupus erythematosus, suggesting potential immunoregulatory functions. As a lncRNA, SLEAR is involved in RNA-mediated regulation of transcription and possibly immune functions, but it is not considered a classical therapeutic target like a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or druggable protein[2][7][8]. There is currently no evidence in available sources for direct druggability, specific small-molecule interactions, or well-established mechanisms of action for pharmacologic intervention.
