Overview
STRADBP1, also known as STE20-related kinase adaptor beta pseudogene 1, ALS2CR2P1, and STLK6ps1, is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 1. It is named for its sequence similarity to the active protein STE20-related kinase adaptor beta (encoded by the STRADB gene), but does not produce a functional protein and therefore lacks biological or therapeutic activity. Pseudogenes such as STRADBP1 may result from duplication of functional genes but accumulate mutations or truncations that prevent expression of a functional protein. STRADBP1 is not considered a therapeutic target, does not participate in cellular signaling, and has no associated interacting drugs or mechanisms of action.
