Stimulation of antitumor immunity via antigen release refers to a therapeutic strategy or biological process in which tumor cell death leads to the liberation of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). These antigens are then captured by antigen-presenting cells (APCs), such as dendritic cells and macrophages, which process and present them to T cells. This cascade results in the activation and expansion of both cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and helper CD4+ T cells, thereby broadening and amplifying the immune response against cancer.
