STK32A antisense RNA 1 (STK32A-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene located at the STK32A locus on the human genome. It functions to regulate the expression of the STK32A coding gene, both by targeting enhancer and promoter regions, and likely acts in cis to positively modulate STK32A gene expression [8]. There is currently no evidence that STK32A-AS1 acts as a therapeutic target, nor is it implicated in specific diseases or known to interact with any drugs [2][4][8]. While other antisense lncRNAs are involved in disease biology, STK32A-AS1's biological and disease relevance is presently unclear and its functional description is limited primarily to gene expression regulation at the chromatin level.
