Strawberry notch homolog 1 (SBNO1) is a highly conserved protein classified as a chromatin regulator in the SF2 helicase superfamily[2][4]. Although implicated in prostate cancer and muscular dystrophy, direct clinical targeting or biomarker use is not established. Interactions include physical association with chromatin modifiers such as FACT, and signaling transcription complexes like Yap/Tead4, and Notch/Rbpj[2]. SBNO1’s precise mechanisms remain a subject of ongoing research, and its function underlines the intersection of chromatin remodeling, developmental signaling, and lineage specification[2][3][5].
