Pseudogenes may sometimes influence gene regulation, but no known regulatory, disease, or pharmacological functions are associated with this particular pseudogene[5][9]. Key point: *ENSG00000277146 is not an active gene, enzyme, receptor, or transporter; it is a pseudogene and thus not appropriate as a therapeutic target.
