Structured non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are a diverse class of RNA molecules that do not encode proteins but instead function through their specific secondary and tertiary structures. These RNAs can form complex folded motifs, which may be interspersed within larger transcripts or induced upon binding to particular ligands.
