SUB1 pseudogene 3 (SUB1P3) is a non-protein-coding processed pseudogene related to the *SUB1* gene, which in its functional form acts as a transcriptional regulator[2][5]. Like other pseudogenes, SUB1P3 is thought to be largely nonfunctional and is not expressed as a protein. Some pseudogenes can produce noncoding RNAs that regulate gene networks by acting as microRNA sponges or competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs), but there is no published information supporting a specific regulatory or disease-associated role for SUB1P3. SUB1P3 is not recognized as a therapeutic or diagnostic target, and there are no known drugs, biomarkers, or safety concerns directly associated with it[2][5].
