SUCLG2 pseudogene 2 is a non-functional genomic element related to the SUCLG2 gene, which encodes the beta subunit of succinyl-CoA ligase [GDP-forming] subunit beta, mitochondrial[1][2][3]. While the functional SUCLG2 gene participates in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, the pseudogene version (SUCLG2P2) does not encode a functional protein and is not involved in cellular metabolism or disease. As a pseudogene, SUCLG2P2 is not considered a target for drug development or therapy.
