Overview

Suppressor APC domain-containing protein 1 (SAPCD1) is a poorly characterized human protein encoded by the SAPCD1 gene (previously C6orf26), located on chromosome 6[2][3]. It is 178 amino acids in length[1]. SAPCD1 has no confirmed classification as a receptor, enzyme, ion channel, or other druggable protein class and its precise biological function remains unclear; available protein interaction data suggest possible connections with proteins involved in cell adhesion and Wnt signaling, but no direct evidence for enzyme activity, signal transduction, or transcriptional regulation has been published[1]. SAPCD1 has been linked via genetic association to certain cancers and rare syndromes, but neither its disease mechanism nor its therapeutic relevance have been established[3][5].
