Target intelligence / Profile preview
Surface pre-reacted glass-ionomer filler (S-PRG filler) is an advanced bioactive dental material engineered to release a suite of ions—including fluoride, strontium, boron, sodium, aluminium, and silicate—upon integration into dental products such as toothpaste, varnish, sealants, and composite resins. These ions act synergistically to inhibit the demineralization and promote remineralization of enamel and dentin, neutralize acids produced by oral bacteria, reduce biofilm formation, and ultimately prevent or reverse the development of dental caries. S-PRG filler holds promise as a caries-control agent, with studies indicating superior or at least equivalent effects to conventional fluoride-based therapies in remineralizing tooth surfaces and enhancing subsurface mineral recovery[1][2][3][4][5][6].
Releases multiple ions (fluoride, strontium, boron, sodium, aluminium, silicate) which promote remineralization of tooth enamel and dentin, inhibit demineralization, and modulate oral pH; ions cooperate with fluoride to enhance remineralization efficacy[1][2][3][4][5][6].
