Overview

The Survivin peptide-MHC class I complex is formed when a short peptide derived from the survivin protein—a key inhibitor of apoptosis implicated in cancer—is bound within the groove of an MHC class I molecule, typically on the surface of cancer cells. Mechanism of action

T-cell activation: cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) recognize survivin peptide displayed by MHC class I, leading to lysis of cancer cells presenting this complex.
