SYBU antisense RNA 1 (SYBU-AS1)

Target
SYBU-AS1
Molecular classification
Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), Antisense RNA
01

Overview

SYBU antisense RNA 1 (SYBU-AS1), also known as AC079061.1, is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the SYBU gene locus. It does not code for a protein. Recent research suggests that lncRNA-AC079061.1 may regulate the immune microenvironment and suppress the proliferation and invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma cells by affecting the expression of VIPR1, an immune-related gene. Its high expression is associated with improved prognosis for patients with HCC[2]. Beyond this cancer-associated context, there is no evidence linking SYBU-AS1 directly to recognized therapeutic interventions, receptor-mediated mechanisms, or traditional drug targeting.
