Synaptotagmin-15 (SYT15) is a member of the synaptotagmin family of membrane trafficking proteins and contains a transmembrane region and two C2 domains, characteristic of this protein family[2][4][5]. Unlike canonical synaptotagmins primarily characterized in neuronal synaptic vesicle fusion, SYT15 appears to function mainly in the trafficking and exocytosis of secretory vesicles in non-neuronal tissues[2][4][5][6]. Diseases associated with SYT15 include Infantile Parkinsonism-Dystonia 2, though broader disease roles and therapeutic targeting information are currently limited[2].
