SS18 like 2 pseudogene 2 (SS18L2P2) is a noncoding human processed pseudogene located on chromosome 20. It is a retrocopy of the protein-coding SS18L2 gene and does not encode a functional protein. While pseudogenes in general may regulate their parental genes via noncoding RNA mechanisms, there is no established functional, biomarker, or therapeutic significance for SS18L2P2. It is not recognized as a drug target or involved in any specific molecular pharmacology.
