Target intelligence / Profile preview
SYT13 antisense RNA 1 (SYT13-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located antisense to the synaptotagmin-13 (SYT13) gene. As a lncRNA, SYT13-AS1 does not encode a protein product. Its specific biological function, roles in disease, and molecular interactions are not well characterized or described in the available scientific literature[3]. There is no evidence SYT13-AS1 itself is considered a therapeutic target such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor, nor are there data on drugs that directly target this lncRNA[3]. The related protein-coding gene SYT13, in contrast, has roles in neuroendocrine biology and cancer, but information specific to SYT13-AS1 is extremely limited.
