SYT15 antisense RNA 1 is a long non-coding RNA of the natural antisense transcript class, produced from the genomic region opposite to the SYT15 gene in humans[3][5][10]. Like other antisense lncRNAs, it is presumed to be involved in the regulation of gene expression at the transcriptional or post-transcriptional level by interacting with its sense gene (SYT15) or by affecting local chromatin structure[1][2][7]. However, there is no experimental evidence in the literature specifically describing the biological function, disease associations, or mechanistic roles for SYT15-AS1. No clinical, pharmacological, or disease links are established for this RNA to date. Publicly available databases and publications reveal no evidence that it functions as a therapeutic target or has clinical mechanistic data.
