T cell immunoglobulin and ITIM domains (TIGIT)

Target
TIGIT
Molecular classification
Receptor, Poliovirus receptor-like Ig superfamily, Type I transmembrane protein
01

Overview

TIGIT (T cell immunoglobulin and ITIM domains) is an inhibitory immune receptor expressed on various lymphocyte subsets, including T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. It plays a significant role in modulating immune responses, particularly by dampening cytotoxic activity and cytokine production to maintain immune homeostasis or facilitate tumor immune evasion. It interacts with CD155/PVR (high affinity) and CD112/PVRL2/Nectin2. Blocking TIGIT has become a promising strategy in cancer immunotherapy.
