Overview

The T-cell receptor complex is a membrane-bound, antigen-recognizing receptor on the surface of T lymphocytes, responsible for detecting antigenic peptides presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules on antigen-presenting cells. Dysregulation of T cell activation contributes to a wide range of diseases, including autoimmune diseases, cancers, infectious diseases, and allergies.
