Mechanism of action

S-488410 is a cocktail of five HLA-A*24:02-restricted synthetic peptides derived from oncoantigens (DEPDC1, MPHOSPH1, CDCA1, KIF20A, and ECT2). These peptides bind to HLA-A*24:02 on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, which then present them to the T-cell receptor (TCR) on cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). This interaction triggers the activation and proliferation of antigen-specific CTLs that recognize and kill tumor cells expressing these specific oncoantigens.
