T cell receptor alpha joining 25 (TRAJ25) is a genomic segment located on chromosome 14 that encodes a joining region of the TCRα chain required for V-J recombination during T cell receptor assembly. However, TRAJ25 is annotated as non-functional and is considered a pseudogene, meaning it does not encode a usable J segment in the context of protein function or therapeutic targeting. The joining (J) segments are critical for the diversity of antigen recognition, but pseudogenes like TRAJ25 do not contribute functional protein products. Therefore, TRAJ25 is not an actionable therapeutic target nor a biomarker, and does not interact with drugs or play a role in disease pathology.
