T cell receptor beta chain Vβ6 region (TCR Vβ6)

The T cell receptor beta chain Vβ6 region is a segment of the variable region of the T cell receptor (TCR) beta chain, found specifically in T cells that use the Vβ6 gene segment. T cell receptors are heterodimeric membrane proteins generally composed of an alpha and a beta chain and are essential for the recognition of antigenic peptides presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules on the surface of antigen-presenting cells[2][4][8].
