Overview

T cell receptor beta constant 2 (TRBC2) is a protein encoded by the TRBC2 gene in humans. It forms part of the constant region of the beta chain in alpha-beta T cell receptors (TCRs), which are essential for antigen recognition and adaptive immune responses. Its primary role is to contribute to the formation of functional αβ-TCR complexes on T lymphocytes, enabling recognition of peptide antigens presented by MHC molecules and initiating immune responses.
