TRBJ1-5 (T cell receptor beta joining 1-5) is a joining gene segment in the T cell receptor beta (TCRβ) locus, participating in the V(D)J recombination that produces diverse antigen receptors in T cells. The TCRβ chain is generated by recombination of a variable (TRBV), diversity (TRBD), and joining (TRBJ) segment, with TRBJ1-5 as one of the available joining segments. This process underlies the adaptive immune system's ability to recognize a vast array of antigens.
