Target intelligence / Profile preview
**T cell receptor beta variable 11-3** (TRBV11-3) is a variable region segment of the T cell receptor (TCR) beta chain that forms part of the antigen recognition interface of αβ T cells. The TCR is a membrane-bound heterodimeric protein complex present on the surface of most T lymphocytes and is essential for the adaptive immune system's ability to recognize processed antigen fragments presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. The TRBV11-3 gene segment specifically encodes the variable region of the beta chain, contributing to the diversity and specificity of antigen recognition. T cells expressing TCRs utilizing TRBV11-3 are involved in both normal immune surveillance and pathologic clonal expansions in diseases such as leukemia. The TCR complex, including TRBV11-3-containing receptors, propagates intracellular signaling required for T cell activation, proliferation, and effector functions upon engagement with an MHC-peptide complex[1][2][3][4][5].
Drugs or therapeutics targeting T cell receptor (TCR) complexes generally function by modulating TCR signaling, blocking antigen recognition, or depleting T cells by targeting TCR or its associated proteins[3].
