Target intelligence / Profile preview
The T-cell receptor delta chain V region 2 (TRDV2) is a variable region gene segment of the T cell receptor (TCR) delta chain in humans. It is a key component of the γδ T cell receptor, responsible for antigen recognition. TRDV2-expressing γδ T cells play a role in immune surveillance against infections and tumors by recognizing stress-induced ligands independently of classical MHC presentation. Upon ligand binding, the γδTCR/CD3 complex initiates intracellular signaling, leading to cytokine secretion, proliferation, and cytotoxicity.
