T cell receptor gamma variable 9 (TRGV9) encodes the variable region of the gamma chain of the human T cell receptor, which combines with delta chains (especially Vδ2) to form the Vγ9Vδ2 T cell receptor complex, a major γδ T cell subset in peripheral blood[1][2][3][5].
