The T cell receptor (TCR) on CD4 lymphocytes is a membrane-bound protein complex found on the surface of helper T cells (CD4+ T cells). It recognizes antigens presented by major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC II) molecules, initiating intracellular signaling cascades that lead to T cell activation, cytokine production, and differentiation.
