The T cell receptor (TCR) Vγ9Vδ2 is a specific heterodimeric receptor found on a major subset of human gamma delta (γδ) T cells. These cells recognize non-peptide phosphoantigens in an MHC-independent manner, playing roles in antimicrobial defense and tumor surveillance.
