Target intelligence / Profile preview
T-SNARE domain containing 1 (TSNARE1) is a predicted SNARE family protein involved in intracellular protein transport, vesicle docking, and vesicle fusion, particularly at neuronal synapses[1][3][5]. It is thought to participate in synaptic vesicle exocytosis via the SNARE complex, a group of proteins mediating vesicle fusion with target membranes[1][4]. Genetic studies implicate TSNARE1 variants in schizophrenia risk, but its precise biological role and any therapeutic targeting remain to be fully elucidated[1]. TSNARE1 is not currently considered a well-established therapeutic drug target, nor are there drugs known to interact directly with it[1][5].
