Overview
The TAM family comprises three homologous RTKs—TYRO3, AXL, MERTK—that regulate key processes including efferocytosis-mediated immune tolerance/inflammation resolution. Their dysregulation contributes significantly to cancer progression/immunosuppression as well as autoimmunity when absent. This makes them attractive but complex targets for therapeutic intervention across oncology/immunology fields.
