Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tankyrase 2 (TNKS2) is a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) enzyme that plays a critical role in several cellular processes, including Wnt/β-catenin signaling, telomere maintenance, vesicle trafficking, and proteasome activity. It catalyzes the addition of poly(ADP-ribose) chains to target proteins, regulating their function. TNKS2 is considered a therapeutic target, particularly in cancer where aberrant Wnt signaling or telomere dynamics contribute to tumorigenesis. Inhibitors targeting Tankyrases are under development.
Inhibition of Tankyrase activity, leading to modulation of Wnt signaling and telomere dynamics.
