TBC1 domain family member 12 (TBC1D12) is a human protein encoded by the TBC1D12 gene, containing a conserved TBC (Tre-2/Bub2/Cdc16) domain, generally associated with GTPase-activating proteins for Rab family small GTPases. TBC1D12 is predicted to enable GTPase activator activity, playing roles in regulation of autophagosome assembly and intracellular vesicular transport, particularly in endosomal compartments. It is also implicated as a RAB11A-binding protein with a function in neurite outgrowth. Currently, TBC1D12 is not a therapeutic target, and no drugs are known to interact with it.
