TBPL1 pseudogene 1 (TBPL1P1) is a non-functional DNA sequence in the human genome derived from the TATA box-binding protein like 1 (TBPL1) gene, which is a member of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) family involved in the regulation of transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. Unlike the protein-coding gene, TBPL1P1 does not produce a functional protein product and has no directly attributed biological function or role as a therapeutic target.
