Overview

TCF3 fusion partner (TFPT) is a protein encoded by the TFPT gene in humans, known by several aliases including INO80F, FB1, and amida. TFPT is a putative regulatory component of the chromatin remodeling INO80 complex, which plays key roles in transcriptional regulation, DNA replication, and DNA repair. It has predicted DNA binding and protein kinase binding activity and is involved in chromatin remodeling, apoptotic signaling pathways, and the regulation of metabolic processes involving nucleobases. TFPT has clinical significance as a fusion partner with TCF3 (E2A) in childhood leukemia and related malignancies. Unlike receptors or enzymes, TFPT is not a classical drug target, nor are there known drugs, mechanisms, or specific biomarkers associated with its direct targeting in clinical therapeutics. TFPT’s role is principally as a structural subunit within the larger INO80 chromatin remodeler complex, contributing to genome stability and gene expression regulation.
