Tektin 4 pseudogene 3 (TEKT4P3) is annotated as a pseudogene related to the protein-coding gene Tektin 4 (TEKT4). Pseudogenes like TEKT4P3 are generally non-functional DNA sequences that arise from their parental genes via processes such as gene duplication or retrotransposition but accumulate mutations preventing them from encoding functional proteins.
