TERF1 pseudogene 3 (TERF1P3) is a non-coding pseudogene in the human genome, classified as a genomic sequence related by origin to the functional gene TERF1 (telomeric repeat-binding factor 1) but lacking protein-coding capacity. While the canonical TERF1 gene encodes a component of the shelterin complex that binds telomeric DNA and is involved in telomere length regulation, cellular aging, and cancer, there is currently no evidence that TERF1P3 serves as a therapeutic target, or that it participates directly in biological pathways or disease processes in humans. Therefore, functional and pharmacological annotations for protein-coding targets do not apply to TERF1 pseudogene 3.
