Testes-specific protease 50 (TSP50) is a serine protease normally expressed in the testes but aberrantly overexpressed in various human cancers, including breast, colorectal, gastric, and prostate cancers. It promotes cell proliferation, invasion, and metastasis through activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway. High expression levels correlate with advanced disease stage and poor prognosis, making it an attractive biomarker and potential therapeutic target.
