Tetratricopeptide repeat domain 31 (TTC31) is a protein characterized by the presence of tandem tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs, which are known to mediate protein-protein interactions[5]. While the precise biological function of TTC31 remains incompletely defined, experimental evidence suggests that it participates in the regulation of centrosome duplication and maintenance of chromosome stability during cell division[2]. Knockdown of TTC31 in cell models leads to centrosome overduplication and chromosome congression defects, linking it to cell cycle regulation and genomic integrity[2]. TTC31 is a member of the broader family of TPR-containing proteins, which are implicated in processes such as cell cycle regulation, transcriptional control, and protein transport[5].
