Tetratricopeptide repeat domain 39A (TTC39A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1, encoding a protein that belongs to the tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domain family[1][6][8]. Proteins with TPR domains typically function as scaffolding modules mediating protein–protein interactions. TTC39A is localized in the centrosome, though its precise molecular and cellular functions are not well elucidated. There are no widely recognized reports that TTC39A acts as a therapeutic receptor, enzyme, or transporter, and there are no established approved drugs targeting this protein. Its aliases reflect sequence-based identification, differential expression in certain cell lines (notably MCF-7 with estradiol), and alternative gene symbols used in various databases. Current data do not indicate TTC39A is a validated therapeutic target.
