Tetratricopeptide repeat protein 9A (TTC9) is a protein containing several tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs, which are known for mediating protein-protein interactions. TTC9 is hormonally regulated in breast cancer cells and may contribute to cancer cell invasion and metastasis. It is involved in molecular pathways related to mammary gland development and has been associated with invasive bladder transitional cell carcinoma. Functionally, TTC9 is considered a chaperone protein participating in protein folding[1][2][4].
