Target intelligence / Profile preview
TFIP11 divergent transcript (TFIP11-DT, CTA-445C9.14) is an annotated transcript at the TFIP11 gene locus, presumed to be a non-coding RNA generated through divergent transcription, a process whereby RNAs are transcribed in the antisense direction from gene promoters and enhancer regions. TFIP11 encodes a spliceosomal protein involved in intron release during mRNA splicing, but TFIP11-DT itself has not been functionally characterized and is not an established therapeutic target. The presence of a divergent transcript in the TFIP11 region is consistent with common genomic features observed in mammals, where such RNAs arise without strong TATA elements at CpG-rich promoters and enhancers; these transcripts are often non-coding, and their function may relate to gene origination or regulatory processes, although this has not been demonstrated for TFIP11-DT specifically. Important Note: If TFIP11-DT is meant to refer to a better-characterized molecule or if specific transcript information (such as annotation in major databases like Ensembl or RefSeq) is intended, more precise nomenclature or database identifiers are needed. Currently, it is not recognized as a well-defined molecular target in therapeutic discovery.
