Overview
TGF-beta (Transforming Growth Factor-beta) family ligand inhibitors are molecules that block or modulate the activity of ligands within the TGF-beta superfamily. These ligands regulate a wide range of cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, immune function, and tissue homeostasis. Inhibitors can be endogenous proteins (such as follistatin or noggin), engineered antibodies, small molecules, or receptor decoys designed to prevent ligand-receptor interactions and downstream signaling.
