A Th1 cell stimulant is any molecule or factor that promotes the activation, differentiation, or function of T helper 1 (Th1) cells. Th1 cells are a subset of CD4+ T lymphocytes critical for cell-mediated immunity, primarily involved in defending against intracellular pathogens. Key stimulants include IL-12, type I interferons, and CD40L. Stimulation leads to enhanced macrophage killing capacity, activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, and promotion of opsonizing antibody production.
