THAP domain-containing protein 10 (THAP10)

THAP domain-containing protein 10 (THAP10) is a member of the THAP protein family, which is defined by the presence of an N-terminal THAP (Thanatos-associated protein) domain. The THAP domain is a zinc-dependent sequence-specific DNA-binding module related to the zinc-finger superfamily, featuring a C2CH motif[1][2]. While the biochemical properties of the THAP domain have been well characterized—such as zinc-dependent DNA binding and structural similarity to transposase DNA-binding domains—the specific biological function of THAP10 itself in humans remains poorly defined.
