Overview

THOC3 antisense RNA 1 (THOC3-AS1) is a human long non-coding antisense RNA gene located in the genome such that it overlaps with or is proximal to the protein-coding THOC3 gene. Antisense RNAs like THOC3-AS1 are typically involved in regulating the expression of their sense partner (here, THOC3) via transcriptional interference, epigenetic modification, or RNA-RNA interactions.
