Target intelligence / Profile preview
Thromboxane synthetase (TXAS), also known as thromboxane-A synthase (CYP5A1), is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) to thromboxane A2 (TXA2). TXA2 is a potent vasoconstrictor and inducer of platelet aggregation, playing a critical role in hemostasis and cardiovascular physiology.
