Target intelligence / Profile preview
Thymopoietin is a thymic hormone involved in T cell differentiation and immune regulation. It acts pleiotropically, modulating intracellular cyclic GMP levels in mature T cells and cyclic AMP in precursor T cells, and upregulating interleukin 2 or 22 mRNA expression. It can stimulate or inhibit immune responses depending on context, making it useful for immunodeficiency, autoimmune diseases, and cancer therapy support.
Paracrine signaling; cGMP/cAMP modulation; IL pathway upregulation; T cell differentiation; Immunonormalization
