Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tigger transposable element derived 7 pseudogene (ENSG00000274024) is a non-functional genomic locus in humans derived from the Tigger subfamily of the pogo superfamily of DNA-mediated transposons. The parent gene family (Tigger) is related to DNA transposons found across many species, but TIGD7 (and its pseudogene) no longer encode a functional protein due to sequence disruptions such as stop codons and frameshifts. Pseudogenes like this do not produce active polypeptides and are not involved in physiological or pathological processes as functional proteins. There is currently no evidence linking TIGD7 pseudogene to human disease, clinical biomarkers, or therapeutic intervention.
None (not a functional protein, no drug targets/mechanisms)
